No one cares about Google in Korea so

Google offers free wifi in all Korean Starbucks to help bolster brand recognition and hopefully user adoption. Google is still a distant number 5 in the Korean search market (Naver, Daum, Nate and Yahoo all rank ahead in search). But, the free wifi is still subject to Korea’s real name registration system. You need either a Korean equivalent to a social security number or a foreigner registration number – of which I have neither. So no free wifi for me 😦
